Rollin', Rollin'

Hey. What's up?

I just made an appointment with my RE.

I KNOW. Right?

The consultation is next Wednesday morning. It'll just be talky-talk, probably not even a blood test; since I'm thinking about taking Jackson with me, so she can meet the nice chap she helped us sprout, I think my hands will be full o'toddler and unavailable for any sort of poking. I'm kind of excited to get this ball rolling. And kind of meh. You know, self-preservation-style.

So. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I'm going back to my RE next Tuesday, and I'm feeling the same way. Excited, but nervous and "meh". I have to say, I'm kind of freaking out about the whole "second child" thing, even though I really want one.

Sir Jackson will serve as an excellent motivator for your RE. S/he will see what a right on child you can create and ! viola ! you my friend will be the pet project of success for the whole damn office.

Good luck.

Good luck!! I can't help but feel envious. My husband is digging in his heels and saying no more babies. We'll see who wins this battle. Sigh.

Good luck, dear! I dread taking George anywhere, he is so loud these days, and I am such a wimp. Hope all goes text book perfect this time.

You did it! High-five! (with a sweaty palm, because the thought of the RE makes me all awkwardly sweaty with anxiety, eeeeeek.) I love the idea of taking Jackson!(Though did your clinic ever have rules about bringing children in? Ours openly discouraged it.) We did send a Christmas card to our RE this year.

Gosh, that is NEXT week!!

I'll admit, I'm kind of jealous but I'm going to vicariously live through you this cycle-just don't expect me to get up early for wandings or take any ass shots of progesterone. Super excited for you! Can't wait to hear how the appointment goes!

Oh please let the appointment leave you feeling optimistic and awesome about this whole thing! Even if it's all tinged with a certain amount of meh.

Trin: my clinic strongly discourages bringing kids to monitoring appointments or when any procedure will be done. It is verboten for the retrieval. But they do the monitoring like a cattle call between 6-8am, and then the rest of the day is a mix of surgeries, transfers, and consults (the 2 REs rotate their schedules), so bringing a kid during the day is fine. I still asked if it was okay and made clear than if there were patients in the waiting room who might be upset by us, and I watched like a hawk for signs of this, then I wanted to be put into an empty room in the back offices to get out of their sight. It went fine.
